The tour is completely PRIVATE. Esquipulas is a small countryside town located at the foothills of San Marcos de Tarrazú (one of the highest mountains in Costa Rica). Esquipulas is considered to be the best spot for birding at the area of Manuel Antonio and Quepos. Just about 20 minutes drive approximately from most of the hotels in Manuel Antonio. We are a boutique tour company that is locally owned and operated. We pride ourselves on keeping our groups small to medium in size so that we can make our tours more personal and unique.Once you are picked up at your hotel or vacation rental, you will be driven through palm plantations and a jungle back country before arriving at the thermal springs. It is a informative 45 minute ride where a bilingual guide will explain the history of the local area while looking for wildlife along the way. Once you arrive, there are bathrooms where one can change. There is a 5 minute walk to get o the thermal pools and the river. There are 5 pristine thermal pools where one can relax while experiencing a natural clay mask. One can also swim in the crystal clear waters of the river where the pools are 2 ft to 6 ft deep. There are three naturally carved out rock slides where everyone in the family can have a blast going down them. A typical Costa Rican lunch is served at the end of the tour.
