There you can visit a 16th century small chapel built on top of a cliff and a tunnel connecting the two beaches through the rock. It is believed that Santa Luzia was founded around 1577, when a group of fishermen resolved the problem on their own and built a chapel in honor of the Sicilian martyr and protector of those suffering from eye diseases Santa Luzia.
