Many of this neighborhood’s charms are obvious—the architecture is stunning, the many universities add a unique vibrancy, the history is ever-present, and there are plenty of cool cafés, art galleries, and shops. This neighborhood is justly a favorite for international film shoots (who use it as a standby for other locales), and hardly a week goes by that there’s not a film being shot on these streets. When we are not eating and drinking, we’ll stroll through the elegant area which lies between the inner and outer ring roads—including the gardens of the National Museum, where aristocrats built their palatial homes in the 19th and early 20th centuries (the golden age of Budapest), and café-lined streets with more Bohemian vibes. As per our usual style, our evening of exploration will combine food and drinks, with historical and cultural stories about the buildings and people important to the neighborhood. Come wine and dine in this most special part of Budapest with us!

First, you’ll try some delicious street food such as traditional Hungarian soup and Lángos, a deep-fried flatbread. You’ll try Hungarian classics like nokedli dumplings and Flódni, a Jewish-Hungarian pastry. You’ll also sample alcoholic beverages like Pálinka and sweet wine from Tokaji, Hungary’s famed wine region, or alcohol-free options for sober travellers.

Dates and hours are flexible and may be different from the timetable on the site, so please let me know your preference. During our walk, we go through the best places for your unique photos of Budapest. After a mini workshop about photography basics (only if needed, of course), camera settings, composition rules, we start to occupy the strategic points that average tourists will hardly find. (Extra time can be added if required. We can agree on that on the spot.) Unlike a regular city walk, we don't need to go close to places of interest, to the contrary: we have to find a good perspective for your camera. For your breathtaking photos, you need to know WHERE to go with your camera and WHEN to shoot and this is what I can help in.
