Because Chingaza is not just the Park. Very close to Bogotá, in a village of Choachí there is a Private Community Reserve, which stopped cultivating its lands to leave it as a corridor for the fauna that cohabits the Páramo de Chingaza. In 20 years its recovery has been impressive.
