Most day tours from Bled cover one or two stops. This route covers seven and does it in a small group of no more than 8 people, with a local expert guide who knows every story behind every place you visit. In a single day you'll walk behind a real waterfall at Peričnik, see the impossibly emerald springs of Zelenci, cross the border into Italy to visit the hidden glacier lake at Lake Predil, walk the gorge of the famous Soča River, stand on Slovenia's highest mountain pass at Vršič, and finish at the crystal-clear Lake Jasna near Kranjska Gora. The route runs through Triglav National Park and the Soča Valley, Slovenia's most spectacular landscapes, on roads that would be stressful to drive yourself. You sit back in an air-conditioned minivan while your guide handles the hairpin turns and fills the journey with stories of the Julian Alps. No big coach. No rushed stops. No generic commentary. Just eight travelers, one expert guide, and seven wonders of the Alps in a day.

Rising at 2864m, Mount Triglav is the highest mountain in Slovenia. In the heart of the stunning Julian Alps, this mountain is without a doubt the most beloved peak in the country (it even appears on the national flag!). I climb this mountain around 25 times per year and I'm always excited to share its secrets with visitors. Although the climb is not technically difficult, it does have some steep and exposed sections at the end that require a good fitness level. It is suitable for beginner mountaineers but it is also an interesting challenge for more experienced ones, especially if you choose to climb it during the winter months.

Led by Danijel Galjot, a skilled sommelier and storyteller, each tasting is more than sipping wine—it’s a journey through Slovenia’s diverse terroirs, rare grapes, and deep traditions. What makes us unique is our focus on Slovenian wines only—including many indigenous varieties rarely found elsewhere. Whether you’re new to wine or a collector, our tastings are designed to educate, surprise, and inspire with food pairings, WSET-based techniques, and stories from local winemakers. Small group sizes ensure a relaxed, engaging vibe—and with over 200 Slovenian wines in our cellar, every visit is different. It's a wilder, less-visited gorge than the canyons most operators use, and we keep groups to a maximum of 7 guests per guide so the experience never feels rushed or crowded. Our guides are trained through our own Canyoning Academy, the only operator-run canyoning school in Slovenia. Every guide also holds white water rescue certification. This isn't a box-ticking exercise. It means your guide can handle any situation in moving water, with children in the group, in a narrow canyon. That standard is higher than the industry requires. We accept children from 120 cm, the lowest minimum of any canyoning operator near Bled. Most competitors start at 150 cm. If you have younger kids, this is likely the only tour they can actually join. Pickup from your Bled accommodation is included, full-size photos are delivered after the tour, and every jump is optional. Nothing about this tour requires you to be brave, just willing.

1. You climb inside a gorge, not up a wall Every other via ferrata in the area (Mojstrana, Mala Mojstrovka, Mangart) takes you up an exposed rock face. Hvadnik puts you inside a canyon, enclosed walls, different light, completely different atmosphere. That's rare even across Slovenia. 2. You cross the stream three times Water is a massive sensory differentiator. You hear waterfalls, you feel the spray, you may get wet. That's memorable in a way that a dry rock climb simply isn't. 3. It stays cool in summer The gorge provides natural shade and the stream keeps temperatures down. When it's 30°C in Bled, Hvadnik is comfortable. 4. The Martuljek mountain backdrop Špik and the Martuljek group are visually spectacular, jagged, dramatic peaks that look different from the Triglav massif most tourists see. Views here feel undiscovered. The one-line pitch I'd use everywhere: "The only via ferrata in the Julian Alps that takes you through a gorge, not just up one."

Rising to 2,014 meters, Debela Peč is one of the most accessible yet rewarding summits in the Julian Alps — and one of the few where a full 360-degree panorama unfolds at the top with relatively little effort. In just about 3 hours of hiking, you'll pass through spruce forest and alpine meadows before emerging onto the open summit, where on clear days the views stretch from Triglav and the Julian Alps across the Karavanke Ridge and down to Lake Bled. Along the way, stop at the cozy Lipanca mountain hut — a classic Slovenian alpine refuge where you can refuel with local food and drinks before the final push to the top (own expense). Led by a certified mountain guide in a small group of no more than 8, with hotel pickup, National Park fees, and transport all included, this is the most rewarding way to experience the Slovenian Alps without needing any prior mountaineering experience. Suitable for active families and beginners alike.
