The Rongai Route is one of the easiest routes and the success rate is very high. The route starts on the north side of the mountain just south of the Kenyan border, and is one of the least traveled routes. The descent is down the Marangu Route on the south side of the mountain, so climbers see the mountain from many view points. The drive to the trail head takes about 3 hours from Moshi through many villages and coffee plantations, including a stop to register climbing permits at Marangu. The Rongai Route can also be accessed from Amboseli National Park in Kenya. Allow 2 hours including border crossing. We will need copies of passports ahead of time.

The market has so much stalls as you can see as you enter. Each stall appears to have the same products, others have some other stuff. In my experience, all of the vendors were respectful as they await for you to enter their stall. They would say “mzungu”, I waited for you” and “please you can touch, touching is free”. You can looking around and you'll see many nice things to take home. It can be a bit overwhelming because there are so much stuff to see. Vendors would hand you a medium size basket indicating that you may put the stuff you want in the basket as you continue to look around in their store. They are also polite and would thank you even if you didn't purchase anything from their store. You will successful to buy the stuff you want for ur family and friends.

The Marangu route, also known as the "Coca-Cola" route, is the oldest, most well established route on Kilimanjaro. This is the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations in lieu of camping. There are 60 bunk beds each at Mandara and Kibo Huts, and 120 bunk beds at Horombo Hut. Guests are supplied with mattresses and pillows, but sleeping bags are still required. The huts have communal dining halls and basic washrooms, ranging from flushing toilets and running water at the lower huts to long drop toilets and buckets of water at Kibo Hut. Many favor Marangu because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope and direct path. However the short time frame of the route makes altitude acclimatization fairly difficult. The route approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the southeast. Marangu is unfortunately less scenic than the other routes because the ascent and descent are along the same path.

This is a typical itinerary for this product where you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha/Moshi and drive on a tarmac road to Boma Ng'ombe. From Boma Ng’ombe, the drive will turn on a gravel road for about 30 minutes later. The road will take you through gorgeous African country side past bush land, dry riverbeds, and baobab and acacia trees among many others. This vast area, which used to be a hunting ground for Europeans during the 1800s, is home to members of many different tribes, peacefully co-existing as neighbors. Although the game has long since migrated, it is still a haven to many animal species, including a variety of birds. When you reach Kikuletwa it will appear as an oasis surrounded by sprawling fig trees, in the middle of this semi arid landscape. You will see crystal clear water bubbling from underground caves, giving the impression that it is boiling, hence the name “Hot springs”.

Tarangire National Park is one of the national parks found in the northern safari circuit in Tanzania. The name Tarangire originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south of the park. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. This park is well known as the elephant paradise due to high densities of elephants.
