All of these are true, but in fact, Ginza is exciting “backbehind the scenes” as well ! This is a two-hour walking tour of Ginza's six back alleys. There are hidden shrines and popular stores in the back alleys. You walk around the glamorous “front” side of Ginza while experiencing its history, and once you step into the back alleys, you can experience the maze-like “back” side of Ginza! *This tour is not recommended for those who are not confident in their physical strength or have weak legs and hips, as it is a two-hour walk. Ginza Man'nen-do was founded in Kyoto in 1617! It is a long-established shop that catered sweets to the Emperor's family, the Tokugawa Shogunate, and temples and shrines. The store opened in Ginza to accompany Emperor Meiji during the capital's transition to the Meiji era. In the café space modernized with bamboo, participants will make Nerikiri, which is called the art of confectionery. The instructor is Yoshi Higuchi, the 13th-generation owner of a Japanese confectionery store with over 400 years of history and tradition. After making beautiful wagashi, enjoy them with matcha (powdered green tea) prepared by Master Yoshi. You are invited to try your hand at edible art incorporating the history of wagashi, ingredients, and motifs of the four seasons. Remember to take a picture before eating!

Explore Shinbashi, the mecca of after-work entertainment, while learning about its history and Japan's bar-hopping culture. We introduce hidden gems that you won't find on regular tours, and the deeper aspects of Japanese culture that are deeply rooted in Japanese life.
