You will find out all about the tulip and learn in an interactive way about the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machinery and old objects (from before 1950). In the show garden, 1 million tulips are planted in 700 different varieties of tulips. All tulip varieties come from our own nursery. The show garden also has a number of special photo points for taking the perfect picture! After the Tulip Experience you will visit the amazing Keukenhof flower Gardens. Over 7 million bulbs will bloom this spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. The last stops are the Windmills and a local cheese and clogs factory where you will see a demonstration how clogs are made. There is a possibility to taste more than 30 different types of cheese for free! You can buy the nice cheese or you can let the cheese ship to your country if you don't have room in your suitcase. Enjoy a full day Sightseeing tour to the Alkmaar Cheese market, windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory and Volendam. The Alkmaar Cheese Market is the oldest and largest in the Netherlands. Since 1365, Alkmaar has had one cheese scale, and by 1612, the city had as many as four cheese scales. Even the Waagplein, where the cheese market has been held since its inception, has been expanded several times. The next stop is the Zaanse Schans. Here are special windmills such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil mill. Thereafter you will see a wooden shoe demonstration and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and other nice souvenirs. The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows.
