I'm a native of Teramo, one of the most important wine areas in Abruzzo. I'm a wine & food lover and I'm increasing my culture and knowledge attending a 3y Sommelier course at the Italian Sommelier Federation (FIS). Our philosophy stems from tradition, which has handed down to us the cultivation of roses in vineyards as a practice used since ancient times. The tour of the Palmenti di Pietranico is a circuit created for the visit of ancient tanks, huge outcropping rocks scattered over the territory that, worked with extreme skill, were used as tanks to make wine directly on the fields. The millstones are one of the best testimonials to understand the refined level reached by local artisans and the enormous size that the production of fine wines had achieved in the territory. In the Municipality of Pietranico there is the highest concentration of millstones excavated in the rock in Abruzzo, located on the west-facing slope dominated by the town.

The Polenta di Pettorano is unique in the Abruzzo region, for the corn flour we use and the artisan workmanship as it once was; mixed an hour and a half in the copper cauldron with the wooden pole, solid and non-liquid consistency is cut into slices by a very thin wire with delicious white sauce called "Rognoso" based on pecorino cheese and fried bacon.
