The crown of the day is a visit to Lower Antelope Canyon with a 1 mile hike with a Native American guide. This lower section of this corkscrew canyon requires a bit more effort but the reward is fewer visitors and a more intimate experience. The unique water and wind carved sandstone walls change color as the angle of light changes throughout the day. This portion of the canyon has a north/south orientation so light strikes some portion of the walls during most of the day.
