You'll live an authentic and ancestral elaboration process of different Zapotec handicrafts done by incredible women. We'll visit 5 different places and women led families outside Oaxaca City where in each of them you will hear their story and about the origins of different oaxacan handcrafts. How they're made and even participate in the process! We will visit Teotitlán del Valle where you will learn the weaving process of a wool rug using natural dyes and the women´s role throughout the process. We'll also see the elaboration of the bee's wax candles and how they're kept alive in their native traditions. Later we'll stop for lunch in the Tlacolula Market. Then we'll visit San Marcos Tlapazola to see the red clay pottery with a nice demo of how it's elaborated by incredible women.
