On this day our driver will pick you up early in the morning at 4:00 am from the hotel and head to Musanze district at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for assembly and briefing about the endangered mountain gorillas and the volcanoes as well. The meeting is compulsory and it is also at this time that you get to be assigned to gorilla families and porters. According to how gorillas are located, Gorilla groups are allocated taking into account your overall fitness. Now that you are ready, you will head to the forest to track your gorilla group along with other tourists. You will go through thick forests, and steep and muddy areas before finally meeting the family. Follow instructions from the head guide and take as many photos as you can. Stay calm and do not make sudden movements. The memory of the time spent with the gorilla family will always remain with you because watching a family of mountain gorillas is very different from any other wildlife experience.

Today Our driver will pick you up from your City Hotel at 5 a.m. to start your journey to Volcanoes National Park. The journey to Volcanoes National Park takes an average of 2-3 hours and on reaching the park offices, you will be briefed by park officers and then assigned to a gorilla group to track. You will then be led into the forest by a ranger guide to track the primates. Gorilla trek may take between 30 mins to 8 hours depending on the movements of the primates. However, upon locating the gorillas, you will then spend 1hr with them. After a wonderful time, we trek back out of the forest and then transfer back to the gate. Proceed for lunch and later depart for Kigali where you get dropped off at your hotel.
