The Panorama Tour visits well known sites in an air-conditioned vehicle with a qualified guide who has good knowledge of the area. Spectacular views of the Blyde River Canyon, and out over the endless Lowveld beyond will not disappoint. Guests are taken along the edge of the escarpment to look out points offering magnificent views, including God’s Window, Wonderview and the Three Rondawels. Along the route guests visit the famous Bourke’s Luck Potholes – deep cylindrical cavities formed by thousands of years of water erosion at the confluence of the Blyde and Treur Rivers. At lunchtime the tour will stop in Graskop for guests to enjoy lunch at a restaurant, and, if time permits, browse the many curio stalls and shops in this little village. South of Graskop, where the Sabie River rises there are many beautiful waterfalls which we will visit whilst making our way back to Hazyview. Bottled mineral waters are provided during the journey.

When you book a Afternoon Private Safari it’s exactly that - Private with only you, your family and/or friends on the vehicle! This is the ideal way for families with young children to enjoy a safari in the Kruger Park! This is the time when the nocturnal animals begin to stir. After about 2 hours of game viewing, you will stop at one of the camps for a quick break. After the break, you will continue with the game drive and return to Hazyview. Afternoon safaris are approx 5 hours including transfer and gate time, and a short refreshment stop. Collection times for afternoon safaris are between 1:00 – 2:00 pm (season dependent) and you will return at about 6:00 pm after the safari. This private safari is suitable for families with children under 6yrs.

After lunch guests board their boat on the Blydepoort Dam for a view of the mountains from the bottom of the Canyon. The 1.5 hour excursion in spectacular surroundings is not to be missed!! Game on the riverbanks is viewed from the boat, and the occasional hippo or crocodile may come past for a closer look at the visitors!

Discover the rare Kadishi Tufa Waterfall & enjoy sightings of hippos, crocs, primates, and a dazzling variety of birdlife. The Blyde Dam is the largest “green canyon” thanks to its vibrant foliage. After the cruise, enjoy lunch (own account) before heading to the top of the Panorama Route. Here, take in sweeping views of the Three Rondavels and gaze 800m down into the dam below — a truly awe-inspiring sight. The afternoon continues with stops at the majestic Lisbon Falls and the breathtaking Wonderview, offering endless panoramic vistas over the Lowveld towards Kruger Park and Mozambique.
