Fez to Meknes, Moulay Idriss & Volubilis Day Trip is supposed to start around 9 AM, After breakfast at your riad or hotel you will be picked up to meet your driver and head to the first station in our excursion will be Morocco’s most preserved Roman ruins of Volubilis or as it’s referred to it now by “Oualili”. The Next stop is Moulay Idriss, spectacular with its high defensive walls, immense gate, koranic schools, fountains, and domed mausoleum. Some breathtaking views of the town and the mausoleum can be witnessed at this holy place. Once this tour is over you will head to Meknes which is the second imperial city of Morocco which considered to be the achievements of one of the supreme Sultans in the history of Morocco, “Moulay Ismail”. Through this visit, you will be getting the chance to discover all that this imperial city has to offer. Once the trip ends, we will drive back to Fez around 17h.

The ruined Roman city of Volubilis is the best-preserved archaeological site in Morocco. Next, the whitewashed town of Moulay Idriss sits astride two green hills in a cradle of mountains and is one of the country’s most important pilgrimage sites. Given its picturesque setting, pretty historic core and national importance, it's a mystery why more tourists don't visit. The good news is that its lack of popularity means you can often have the place all to yourself. Finally, the city of Meknes is quieter and smaller than its grand neighbour, Fez. Meknes feels rather overshadowed and receives fewer visitors than it should. It’s more laid-back with less hassle, yet still has all the winding narrow medina streets and grand buildings that it warrants as an imperial city and one-time home of the Moroccan sultanate.
