At 9:30 AM, our adventure begins with a hotel pick-up to the base camp. After a safety briefing, we gear up and fit our bikes before shuttling to Monthatan Waterfall. Here, we start our 11 km hike through stunning highland jungle, home to towering indigenous Mai Yai trees, towards the Hmong Hill Tribe Village at the summit of Doi Pui National Park. After about 3 hours of steady walking, we reach the summit village at 1400m, where our bikes and gear will be ready. After a well-earned lunch break, we descend through the National Park on mountain bikes. The 2-hour (14 km) ride down to Lake Huay Tung Tao is thrilling, with gravity rewarding us with a cool downhill ride and breathtaking views of the Mae Ping Valley.
