The day starts with a visit of the world’s largest, heaviest and most expensive administrative building, the Palace of Parliament. Next, we will attend a visit to the former residence of Ceausescu family, the last communist leader of the Socialist Republic of Romania. After these two communist landmarks, we will stop at the Revolution Square to talk about what happened in the last days before the revolution. Before our last stop we can have a break at a restaurant and at an old fashion sweet shop. In contradistinction with the Ceausescu former residence we will have an incursion back in time, in the communist time, where you will have the opportunity to experience life in the 80’s with the help of authentic decor and furniture, working appliances and household accessories, local drinks and homemade snacks and historical and archive footage. From here, you can go back to the city center by metro, to feel the lifestyle of Bucharest or with the car. Is your choice.

The approximately 100 km between Bucharest and Sinaia offer, depending on your interest, many objectives. So you can learn the history of the Romanian Oil, in the once prosperous oil towns Ploieşti and Câmpina, but we will also drive through rests of the ancient forests, meanwhile cut because they sheltered outlaws. Optional visit at the Peleș Castle in Sinaia. A coffee is welcome in the nice athmosphere of Sinaia. Further to Bran, we shall visit the famous Dracula Castle. Furhter to Brașov. We will visit Brașov, one of the seven boroughs Transilvania's (its German name, Siebenbürgen, means Seven Boroughs), which still preserves its medieval air. The old City Hall and the Black Church are built by the Saxons, the area of Șchei and the Nicholas Church are Romanian though. In the evening, we shall arrive back to Bucharest.

We leave Bucharest in the morning from our starting point and drive to bulgarian border, Ruse. We’ll cross the Danube River and in approximately 1,5 hours we arrive at Basarbovo Monastery. This is cave monastery, bulgarian-orthodox founded in the Second Bulgarian Empire. Our next stop is at the famous city Veliko Tarnovo, a place with a history more than 5000 years. The focus point of this experience is Tsaravets Palace. This place served as a royal residence for the bulgarian emperors between 1185 and 1393 and was built on the ruins of a byzantine city. After we finish visiting this marvelous place we’ll get lost among the old streets of the city and we’ll have our traditional lunch.

Our main focus today is Sinaia, the Pearl of the Carpathian. We start the day by visiting Peles, the palace of the first Romanian King. After this amazing visit we take a short walk to the smaller, but equally beautiful palace, Pelisor. After we finish seeing the royal estate we go back down at the very first settlement in Sinaia, the monastery with the same name. In the afternoon we take a short drive to Azuga, at Rhein wine cellars in order to learn how they produce sparkling wine by the champagne method from 1892. In the end of the day we go to the charming memorial house of the great Romanian composer, George Enescu. In the evening we drive back to the hotel.
