Three remarkable things built in the Chouf Mountains — by an emperor, by a dreamer, and by a dynasty. This private full-day tour from Beirut tells all three stories, and the most unforgettable of them is not the one you expect. Beiteddine Palace was built by Emir Bashir II — one of the most powerful rulers in Lebanese history — over three decades of meticulous craftsmanship, its grand courtyards and Byzantine mosaic museum standing as a monument to imperial ambition. Moussa Castle was built by one man alone — a Lebanese schoolboy who was mocked by his teacher and spent the next sixty years proving him wrong, quarrying stone and constructing a full medieval castle by hand, filling it with hundreds of life-size wax figures that tell Lebanon's story in the most personal way imaginable. And Deir el Qamar — Lebanon's first capital — is a honey-stone village where a mosque, a church, and centuries of quiet coexistence share the same cobblestone square.

Most visitors to Lebanon never make it to Tripoli. That is their loss — and your opportunity. Lebanon's second city is one of the most authentically preserved medieval cities in the Arab world, and on this private full-day tour from Beirut, you will experience a side of Lebanon that package tours simply do not reach. A 12th-century Crusader citadel. Two of the finest Mamluk mosques in the Levant — one built on the foundations of a Crusader cathedral, its original Gothic portal still visible in the stonework. A living medieval souk unchanged for centuries. An unfinished Oscar Niemeyer masterpiece — one of the most architecturally significant modernist buildings in the Middle East. And Hallab 1881 — the legendary Tripoli pastry institution that has been making Lebanese sweets since the Ottoman era, where a tasting stop is not optional but essential. The day ends at El Mina, Tripoli's ancient fishing port, where the pace of life slows to something entirely unhurried.

The Bekaa Valley is Lebanon's most historically layered landscape — a fertile plain between two mountain ranges conquered, farmed, and celebrated for over five thousand years. This private full-day tour crosses into the Bekaa to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites and one of Lebanon's most celebrated wineries — Umayyad, Roman, and ancient wine all in one day. Anjar is the only surviving Umayyad city in Lebanon — an 8th-century palace city built by Caliph Walid I, abandoned after just a few decades and left frozen in time, its colonnaded streets and grand mosque still standing. Baalbek needs no introduction — the greatest Roman temple complex on earth. And Chateau Ksara — Lebanon's oldest winery, founded by Jesuit monks in 1857 — closes the day with a guided tour through 2 kilometres of ancient Roman cave cellars and a wine tasting.

The Bekaa Valley's three most compelling historical destinations — an abandoned Umayyad city, the greatest Roman temples ever built, and Lebanon's oldest winery — covered in one guided day from Beirut with a maximum of seven people. The same itinerary as the small-group version, with a guide who can give each person genuine individual attention at sites where the history runs deep and the questions always come. Baalbek: a UNESCO World Heritage Site where the Temple of Bacchus is larger than the Parthenon. The Stone of the Pregnant Woman — a 1,000-tonne quarry block cut 2,000 years ago and never moved — frames the scale before you enter. Ksara: 2 kilometres of Roman cave cellars beneath Lebanon's oldest winery, founded by Jesuits in 1857. Lunch fully included.
