Our small group hike covers 2-3 miles on easy-to-moderate hiking trails. Perfect for most fitness levels, our experienced guides will adapt the hike to different physical abilities, ensuring everyone can enjoy the beautiful waterfalls safely. After the hike, return to Asheville via the historic Blue Ridge Parkway. Group is limited to 6 hikers. Meet at 8:30 a.m. in downtown Asheville. You will meet your hiking guide and receive a rundown of the itinerary. 5 hour tour includes drive time and 2.5-3 hours of hiking. Snacks and transportation are included. Your guide will provide trekking poles, a daypack, and/or bottled water at no additional charge upon request. Choose your own adventure! You pick the distance (6-10 miles on average), terrain, scenery, and difficulty for a spectacular day in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Abundant waterfalls, the highest peaks east of the Mississippi, and the prettiest views you'll find in the South are all at your disposal off the Blue Ridge Parkway, on the Appalachian Trail, or hidden deep Pisgah National Forest. Price includes your guide and a picnic lunch; please specify dietary restrictions when booking. Trekking poles are provided upon request. Transportation is not included, but can be added for an additional fee (depending on availability). We hike rain or shine! We will cancel the hike in the event of dangerous weather. Blue Ridge Hiking Company has been in business for 13 years; we believe the trail is there for everyone at every phase of life. We pick you up at your hotel or lodging! A seasoned local guide will pick you up at your accommodation within 3 miles of city center (One North Pack Square) or will meet you at the Asheville Visitor Center if you are staying outside that distance. The excursion will take you through beautiful mountain scenery on the way to visit three impressive waterfalls and two protected forests as well as a scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway (weather permitting) to discover the amazing views surrounding this iconic road that connects two National Parks. We provide comfortable seating in a climate controlled van. Drinks/snacks are included. IMPORTANT Guest should be prepared for walking approximately 3 miles on the hiking portion of this tour over a period of 2 hours, including stops at the falls and you should feel comfortable walking this distance before making a booking. The tour is not suitable for children under 12. We will return to Asheville by approximately 1:30 p.m.
