Lukomir is the highest and most isolated village in Bosnia. This hike is also the most popular hike in the country. And for a good reason. It offers all: amazing views, long walks, culture, history and legends. This is the most popular one day trip from Sarajevo. We start our tour on the southern slopes of Bjelašnica mountain, from medieval Umoljani village. We will make a short stop on ancient necropolis at Dolovi, and then continue towards Umoljani. We will then pass through Gradina - highland summer village, and go to Studeni Potok stream. On the way, we will visit 40-meter Peruće Waterfall before continuing to Lukomir. Our last stop - Lukomir village. It lives the same life for more than 600 years, Bosnia’s highest and most isolated mountain village. On the edge of the village you will be treated to a breathtaking view of Rakitnica Canyon. We will have traditional homemade lunch prepared by our hosts. The Srebrenica massacre, also known as the Srebrenica genocide was the July 1995 genocide of more than 8,000 Bosniaks, mainly men and boys, in and around the town of Srebrenica during the Bosnian War. The killings were perpetrated by units of the Bosnian Serb Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of Ratko Mladić. Throughout this tour, you will visit some of the most beautiful cities in Herzegovina, such as Jablanica, Mostar, Blagaj, Počitelj, and Kravice waterfalls. The entrance is free for all tourist attractions, except the entrance to Kravice waterfalls, which costs 10EUR per person during the season. First we will go to Jablanica, a town located in Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. After that, we will visit Mostar, which is known for its iconic Old Bridge, a reconstructed medieval arched bridge over the river Neretva. After that, we will head to Blagaj, where it is recommended to take a lunch break in a restaurant, next to the spring of river Buna. Furthermore, we will go to Počitelj which is a historic medieval town, dating back to the 14th century. If you wish to hike, see and enjoy the wonders of an old traditional Bosnian village, this tour is definitely your match. After an hour and a half drive from our meeting place, we will reach Umoljani village. From there, we will start our 8 kilometer hike towards the Lukomir village. It is the highest and most isolated village in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina with an altitude of 1496 meters. When we reach Lukomir, you will get a chance to see Stećci. Stećci are monumental medieval tombstones that lie scattered across Bosnia and Herzegovina; an estimated 60000 are found. After exploring Lukomir, we will enjoy eating a tasty picnic lunch with 360 degrees panoramic view and then head back to Umoljani village again, which is an 8 kilometer hike again.

Best tour if you want to know more about Sarajevos recent history and siege 1992 - 1995. Includes visit to Tunnel of Hope Museum. Tunnel of Hope was an underground tunnel constructed between March and June 1993 during the Siege of Sarajevo in the midst of the Bosnian War. It was built by the Bosnian Army in order to link the city of Sarajevo, which was entirely cut off by Serbian forces, with Bosnian-held territory on the other side of the Sarajevo Airport, an area controlled by the United Nations. The tunnel linked the Sarajevo neighborhoods of Dobrinja and Butmir, allowing food, war supplies, and humanitarian aid to come into the city, and allowing people to get out. The tunnel became a major way of bypassing the international arms embargo and providing the city defenders with weaponry. This tour also includes visit to Bobsled on Trebević mountain, build for 1984 Olympic games.
