Kaunas Ninth Fort Museum
Discover the history of the Kaunas IX Fort Museum during a guided tour. This experience offers introduction to one of the most important historical sites in Lithuania. Visitors can choose from three tour options: Kaunas Fortress Tour – focuses on the history of the fortress and includes access to the defensive wall, which is not open to visitors without a guide. Short Overview Tour – introduction to the Kaunas Fortress, the period of the Lithuanian hard labor prison, and the Holocaust, including access to the defensive wall. Holocaust Tour – focuses on the mass executions of Jews at the IX Fort and provides an overview of the Holocaust in Lithuania (this tour does not include the defensive wall). All tours last 1 hour and 15 minutes and cost 50€ per group. Please note that all visitors must also purchase entrance tickets at the museum ticket office: Adults – 8€ Discounts are available for children, students, and seniors.
