This tour is between 7 and 8 hours long. The wineries are about a 1 hour drive from Houston. During this hour of commute, we will see the terrain geography change. We will leave the urban cement and buildings for rolling meadows, horses and cows grazing, and small country homes, farms, and barns. You may also see more pine trees than in Houston. We will pass by small villages and towns.

This tour only has 1 stop: Space Center Houston (SCH). SCH is connected to NASA or the Johnson Space Center (JSC), where the astronauts train and the engineers work. We will walk over 5,000 steps at SCH as I plan on showing as much as possible in the main building and in the additional buildings, Rocket Park and the Astronauts Training Facility, where the trams take tourists. This is a great way to learn about the history of Houston and to get some exercise. We will enter buildings from the 1920s, 1930s, 1940s, 1970s, 1980s, and 2020s. We will walk over 5,000 steps. This is a moderate walk on level ground in air-conditioned and heated tunnels. These are the most clean and pristine public tunnels in all of the US. We will be stopping about every 5 minutes to look at and go into 7 to 11 buildings. These are safe and well-illuminated. In the summer of 2023, Accuweather and the local Channel 13/ABC affiliate interviewed me about these tunnel tours for activities to do on hot and humid days when you do not want to be outside.

Corpus Christi (CC) is 208 miles/335 kilometers southeast from downtown Houston. Including 1 stop for a bathroom, refreshment and souvenir break, the drive each way is approximately 3.5 hours. Thus, we will spend about 7 hours driving to and from CC. We will take a slightly different return route so we can show you more sites. You will have many visual stimuli as we drive through a portion of the south Texas dessert with mesquite trees, and gravel replacing grass. We will drive through the wetlands surrounding CC and then into the subtropical Corpus. We will pass hundreds of windmills as we approach the coastal CC. Corpus Christi is almost always more windy, humid, and a few degrees warmer than Houston. Dress appropriately. Your van has a drop down movie screen. We have 5 Selena movies and documentaries to show as well as her Greatest Hits to play during your travels. Just tell us what you want.
