Pals is a medieval town, full of vaults, horseshoe arches, doorways and Romanesque and Gothic windows, with vestiges with more than 1000 years old. Walking its walls will transport us to the very middle ages Pals, it is surrounded by rice fields, which generate an amazing landscape during flowering. We will continue the route to the city of Girona, known as the city of the 4 rivers, with its own history, and a charming historical center. Next we visit the Arab baths of Girona, built in the 12th century and located inside the convent of the Capuchins. Then we go to the Walls of Girona, used as a defense of the city against possible invaders, today a privileged place where you can enjoy a unique view of Girona. Stop for lunch. We will continue on our way back to Platja d'Aro, 5 km from the Cruise Terminal, for some last purchases. Return to Palamos.

The Girona Art Museum houses the most important art collection in Girona, with unique works of Catalan art. The visit allows one to contemplate, in chronological order, pictorial and sculptural works from successive periods and styles (Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, realism, modernism and noucentisme). The tour of the permanent exhibition opens with a fragment of an early Christian tombstone from Empúries, and among the most relevant pieces in the collection are the liturgical complex of Sant Pere de Rodes (9th century), the Martyrology of Usuardo (miniature book from the s. XV) and one of the most notable altarpiece sets of the XV-XVI centuries. From February 25 to January 28, 2024, the temporary exhibition "Explosions of an instant, 70s. The contribution of the artists to the art collection of the Avui newspaper" is available. The old episcopal palace is, after the Cathedral, one of the most monumental buildings in the city.

Tossa is a true open-air museum. Its prehistoric remains give way to Roman Turissa, medieval Tursa, and a modern Tossa that first became a refuge for artists and intellectuals and later a generous host to tourists and visitors. We will walk along a wall with more than eight centuries of history. The fortified enclosure of the Vila Vella is the emblem of the town. It preserves almost the entirety of its original perimeter, with crenellated walls. We will discover the old smuggling routes, the coastal paths known as Caminos de Ronda. We will take a stroll through the old fishermen’s quarter, Sa Roqueta, with its humble, whitewashed houses typical of the Mediterranean. Today it is a commercial area, full of small shops tucked away in its narrow streets. After this guided visit, if you are interested in gastronomy, try cim i tomba, Tossa’s most traditional seafood dish.
