With pick up included from your hotel, hop on board as we travel west into the scenic region of Connemara, famed for its wild and rugged land and seascapes. Our first castle visit is to Aughnanure Castle. Built by the O’Flahertys in 1500, this castle is a particularly well-preserved example of an Irish tower house. Next stop in the quaint village of Oughterard for a short coffee break. Weaving our way through scenic Connemara, our next castle stop is Kylemore Abbey, founded by English industrialist Mitchell Henry and now a Benedictine monastery. Spend the next few hours exploring this romantic abbey, its victorian walled gardens and Gothic church. We head to the capital of Connemara, the colourful town of Clifden. En-route (weather permitting) we drive the famous Sky Road. Travel onto to Ballynahinch Castle and take a short break to explore the castle and estate grounds including the walled garden before returning to Galway City.

Inishbofin (Island of the White Cow) lies seven miles off Galway’s coast. This magical island is now a haven for tourism, farming and fishing. The island is 5.7km by 4km , which means that bikes are the ideal method of transport. Inishbofin has various cycling routes offering spectacular views of the island’s wild Atlantic scenery. There are several safe award-winning sandy beaches strewn with shells and with crystal clear water which make swimming, snorkelling and diving a joy. Inishbofin is a special area of conservation and a special area of protection. Inishbofin is an important centre for traditional Irish music and song with its own Ceilí band. It is estimated that Inishbofin was inhabited as far back as 8000-4000 B.C. As you sail around the tower and signal light into the harbour you will notice Cromwell’s 16th century barracks - used as a prison for catholic priests from all over the country after the English Statute of 1585 declared them guilty of high treason.

This is easily the BEST way to experience the Cliffs of Moher from Galway. Meeting in Galway, a small group of no more than 8 will make their way via our private transportation to the village of Doolin. From there you will walk with our local guide to the Cliffs of Moher. This route is breathtaking and brought to life with the help of your captivating guide. The guide will tell you the untold stories about the cliffs while taking you to the most picturesque spots along the way. The hike ends at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Center however, we organize a taxi for everyone back to Doolin for some free time. The taxi costs €20 minimum or €5pp if there are 4 or more people on the tour. You can pay this directly to the taxi man on the day. At approximately 3:30 pm, you will be driven back to Galway in our private transportation. You will arrive back in Galway at approximately 5pm.
