If you want to try real Lucca’s flavors you are in the right place. We will make everything together and at the end we will eat what we cooked with a good glass of wine as accompaniment. Also kids can cook with us and actively participate to the cooking class. It is an excellent opportunity to learn how Italian grandma’s cook. We are here to learn and have fun by cooking together! In the historical site of the Academy, an XVIII-century apartment, we propose our guests the best local products. We usually introduce the world of Evo, cultivars, health benefits and then we move on to make an extra virgin olive oil tasting of 4 or 6 Evos. All this is the background to the discovery of one of the oldest and most secret jobs in Tuscany: that of the truffle hunter. The truffle for its underground nature, for its delicacy and for its great economic value has always fascinated man, having a leading role in Tuscan culture and tables. During the truffle hunting experience we will walk the paths where truffles are naturally born. All the secrets about the truffle will be explained, the plants that live in symbiosis with him and the training of the dogs; and if we are lucky we will also be able to find some nice truffles. Adults and children will have a great time following the dog and helping me to extract the truffle from the ground. They will also learn a lot about truffles and nature.
