Your hosts Juan and Marina are a wealth of knowledge when it comes to travel, food and culture, and you will gain valuable knowledge of Argentinean cooking and the current Buenos Aires buzzing food scene during this experience. Juan offers a hands-on cooking class but will also demonstrate certain things and techniques. You will first join him to slow cook meat on the barbecue and learn about the different cuts of meat and methods of cooking and eating them. Then, you will join Juan in the kitchen to learn to make the dough for the main entree and some homemade barbecued extra crunchy fugazetta pizzettas. Once you're done cooking, you will sit together to enjoy the meal you have prepared. Juan particularly enjoys cooking Argentinean asado even though he has experience cooking all types of Latin American cuisines, particularly Colombian pastries. Daniel is a professional chef who started his career at the restaurant of Francis Mallmann, South America's most beloved chef and a meat and fire artist. Isa is a professional sommelier passionate about wine. Once you arrive at Isa and Daniel's home, be prepared for a hands-on cooking lesson and a delicious meal over paired wine. Your cooking class will last about an hour during which you will learn how to make appetizers, starters and either barbecue or stove cook dishes. You will learn to set the barbecue's fire, spice the meat and slow cook it to reach Mallmann's standards or learn to cook traditional homemade Latin American dishes such as ossobuco croquettes or mini provoletas with pesto. Please include your preference, if any between barbecue or home cooking. Enjoy a gourmet meal that will include an appetizer, starter, main, sides and dessert perfectly complemented with wine with this foodie couple.
