This experience invites you to take part in creating a complete Korean meal, from cooking to table setting and enjoying the finished table. Rather than focusing on individual recipes, you’ll learn how a Korean meal is built and enjoyed as a whole, following the way it’s prepared in everyday life. Each guest cooks and plates their own meal at an individual station, allowing for a personal, hands-on experience throughout. Once the table is complete, everyone sits down together to enjoy the meal they’ve prepared, experiencing how Korean food is served and shared. Set in a private studio in Bukchon Hanok Village, the class flows naturally from cooking to dining in one continuous experience. It offers a clear, engaging way to cook, eat, and understand Korean food culture through the rhythm of a full meal.

In this class, our focus is on cooking, plating, and enjoying a full Korean meal — the way it's truly meant to be shared. You'll cook in a calm, well-equipped kitchen inspired by traditional Hanok architecture. Every guest prepares their own dishes using seasonal vegetables and fermented pastes like doenjang and gochujang, some of which are brought directly from the chef’s hometown. The menu is thoughtfully designed to cover a balanced, beautiful table setting — from banchan to soup and main dish — all made by you. Rather than spending time outside, we give that time to real cooking and the joy of creating something by hand. We don’t run commercial market tours, but if you're curious, we're happy to share a few trusted, local markets that offer a more authentic experience. This is not a food tour. It’s a genuine Korean cooking journey.

First, we will take a boat to visit a huge floating fish farm owned by a local family. There, we can understand how the locals make a living from the river's natural resources, while also stimulating your senses with a unique fish foot massage Then we walk along with villagers to discover the lives of local people living on a green islet in the middle of the Mekong River. Their income is based on feeding fishes and cultivating a variety of fruits. A trip to the Mekong River would not be complete without a visit to a tropical fruit garden in which we will learn how locals tend to these gardens and of course enjoy some of our pickings! Finally, a local host family will prepare a cozy dinner with a hotpot soup made with local fishes, vegetables and herbs. As the sun paints the sky with hues of amber, indulge in this culinary delight while soaking in the picturesque vista, an unforgettable moment harmonizing with the rich cultural tapestry of the Mekong Delta.
