Polignano a Mare, Italy
Polignano a Mare: Birthplace of the singer Domenico Modugno, famous for his iconic song "Nel blu dipinto di blu," Polignano enchants visitors with a historic center rich in Arab, Byzantine, Spanish, and Norman influences, seen in the remnants of the four defensive towers that once surrounded the old town. Its crystal-clear waters and cliffs carved with impressive sea caves are Polignano’s defining features, earning it the title of the "Pearl of the Adriatic." Located just over 30 km from Bari, it’s a must-visit destination.
Ostuni, Italy
Ostuni, known as the “White City,” is a charming Apulian town perched on a hill, offering spectacular views of the surrounding countryside and the Adriatic Sea. Its main feature is the architecture of its houses, all whitewashed with lime, giving it a unique and enchanting appearance. At the center of Ostuni stands the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, a masterpiece of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The church’s façade, decorated with a magnificent rose window, and the interior rich in frescoes and details, represent one of the most important places of worship in the city. From the Cathedral, a series of streets lead to panoramic terraces offering breathtaking views. In the heart of Ostuni is also the Piazza della Libertà, a lively meeting point surrounded by cafés and restaurants. In the surrounding countryside, visitors can immerse themselves in the centuries-old olive groves that represent the agricultural heart of the region.
Locorotondo, Italy
Locorotondo: This village, truly one of the most beautiful in Italy, has been awarded the Orange Flag by the Touring Club for the harmony of its forms and the accessibility of its historic center. You will be captivated by the stunning white houses, the cobbled streets paved with local stone (the "chianche"), and the elegant doorways. Another unique feature of Locorotondo is its geometrically regular houses with sloping roofs, made from two slopes of limestone slabs known as "cummerse." These charming little houses have been renovated and are now offered to visitors as part of a diffused hotel experience.
