After descending the winding Independence Pass, we stop in the sandy riverbed of Wadi Ramon, deep inside the “crater,” to explore the fascinating geology of this unique erosional landscape and learn why it is not actually a crater.

Our next stop will be either beneath the shade of an ancient Acacia tree or beside a Stone Age archaeological site—let us know your preference. On hot sunny days, most guests prefer the cool shade of the Acacia, while history lovers usually enjoy the Neolithic site.

Get high, legally — our next stop is the summit of Mt. Gvanim, offering breathtaking panoramic views over the entire “crater.”

After descending Mt. Gvanim, we continue along Wadi Zohalim, known for its beautiful desert colours and stunted Acacia trees.

You will be dropped back in your prefered place in Mitzpe Ramon for your onward journey, ensuring a smooth and convenient return.
