Otavalo, Cotacachi & Cuicocha Day Tour

Our journey begins at 7:00 AM at the meeting point, where your guide will warmly welcome you and provide all the essential information to help you fully enjoy this unforgettable adventure through Imbabura.

We’ll travel to Cayambe, home of Ecuador’s iconic bizcochos. Here you’ll visit a traditional bakery and enjoy these freshly baked treats served with local leaf cheese and manjar, a delicious start to the day.

On our way to Otavalo, we’ll stop at the beautiful San Pablo Lake, where you can take stunning photos with the majestic Imbabura Volcano rising in the background.

Upon arriving in Otavalo, we’ll visit the famous Plaza de Ponchos, one of the oldest and most renowned indigenous markets in Ecuador. Explore its colorful stalls, meet local artisans, and discover unique handmade crafts and souvenirs.

Our next stop is the mystical Cuicocha Lagoon, a breathtaking volcanic crater lake. Here, you’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride while discovering the fascinating legends and stories surrounding this unique natural wonder.

After experiencing the magic of Cuicocha Lagoon, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch to recharge. Then, we’ll visit Cotacachi, a town famous for its handcrafted leather goods, where you’ll have free time to explore its shops and discover unique handmade pieces.
