2 Day Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route and Kamikochi from Osaka

After meeting your tour conductor, you will board a comfortable coach and begin your journey into the Japanese Alps. Along the way, we’ll make a short stop at a highway service area. Please note that lunch is not included and since the stop at a highway service area is only for a short restroom break, we strongly recommend purchasing your lunch in advance. Your destination is Kamikochi, a breathtaking mountain valley often called Japan’s most beautiful alpine resort. Here, the crystal-clear Azusa River flows beneath the iconic Kappa Bridge, framed by towering peaks of the Hotaka range. Stroll along gentle riverside paths, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and admire the seasonal scenery—fresh greenery in spring, wildflowers in summer, and misty forests on rainy days. Whether you choose to relax by the water or explore the trails, Kamikochi offers a serene escape into nature that feels worlds away from the city.

t APA Hotel Toyama-Ekimae or a similar class hotel (APA Hotel Toyama-Ekimae Minami). Your room will be a Western-style single, double, or twin with a private bath and toilet for your comfort. This business hotel also features a large public bath and an open-air bath, perfect for relaxing after a day in the mountains. The hotel’s central location means you’ll have plenty of options for dining and shopping nearby, allowing you to enjoy the city at your leisure before the next day’s adventure. Please note that, due to room availability, even if you’ve booked a twin room, you may be assigned separate single rooms. While there is no dinner included, you have the flexibility to choose from a variety of nearby dining options.

For departures from April 15 to June 25, 2025: Embark on an unforgettable journey along Japan’s spectacular Alpine Route to Murodo, the highest point at 2,450 meters. If you visit between April 15 and June 25, you’ll be able to experience the stunning Snow Wall (Yuki no Otani)—a breathtaking corridor flanked by towering snow walls that can reach up to 20 meters high. Stroll beside these gleaming white giants and feel the crisp mountain air as you take in panoramic views of snow-capped peaks. This extraordinary sight is available only for a short time each year, making it a truly unique experience. Please note: Snow depth varies with weather, and in rare cases, the Snow Wall Walk may be canceled for safety reasons. No refunds apply for cancellations due to weather conditions. Dress warmly and wear sturdy shoes, as conditions can be cold and slippery at this altitude. The tour is expected to conclude around 19:30–20:00.

For departures from July onwards: Explore Mikurigaike, a serene pond surrounded by high-altitude plants and flowers. Take in the beauty of the alpine flora as you explore the area at your own pace. With vibrant wildflowers and crystal-clear waters reflecting the surrounding mountains, the area offers a perfect spot for relaxation and photography. The tour is expected to conclude around 19:40–20:00 at Tennnoji and for other departure places it will end around 19:10–19:30.
