The Taj Mahal, also known as the "Crown of the Palace," is a stunning ivory-white marble mausoleum situated on the right bank of the Yamuna river in the city of Agra, India. This magnificent monument was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in 1632 as a final resting place for his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal, and it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the main attraction of a sprawling 17-hectare (42-acre) complex that includes a mosque and a guest house, and is surrounded by formal gardens enclosed by a crenellated wall on three sides.

Agra Fort is a significant historical fort located in the city of Agra, India. It served as the primary residence of the Mughal emperors until 1638 when the capital was relocated from Agra to Delhi. The fort is also referred to as the "Lal-Qila," "Fort Rouge," or "Qila-i-Akbari."
