The Park at Ocean Ranch offers you an amazing and very fun horseback ride in the rainforest to a 180 foot waterfall called "El Encanto". Along the way you will traverse a river valley, see white faced monkeys, toucans and macaws in their natural habitat while enjoying the cool shade of the jungle. Giant trees and beautiful tropical foliage adorn the landscape all the way to the waterfall in this Jurassic Park like setting. Our horses are the best well cared for animals available for public tours!

Pickups and drop-offs for only one person and/or for groups outside of this area please contact us for a transportation quote. Villa Caletas has a $65 additional charge for pick up. Transportation to and from the area of Tarcoles/Punta Leona must be quoted and can be up to a $90 additional cost. Transportation to and from Esterillos Este or Oeste can be quoted and can be up to an additional $60. Please note that tour times and transportation times will be scheduled by Ocean Ranch Park in accordance with availability for your tour date.

Transportation is complimentary for parties of 2 or more people from the center of Jaco, Herradura or Hermosa Beach areas. Parties of only 1 person or those parties that are outside of the courtesy pick up areas will receive transportation quote upon request.

You will be picked up at your hotel for a short ride to Ocean Ranch Park
You are greeted by professional guides who saddle you up on a Costa Rican stepping horse for the 1.5 hour ride through the jungle and river to the 180 foot waterfall called "El Encanto". Along the way you will see white faced monkeys, toucan and macaw in their natural habitat while enjoying the cool shade of the jungle. Giant trees and beautiful flowers adorne the landscape all the way to the Rancho where you can kick off your shoes and have a slice of pineapple and a cool drink while enjoying the Jurassic Park like setting.

We will arrange and confirm your pick up time and place the day before your tour. It is helpful if you have the Whatsapp application on you cell phone so we can communicate in real time. The pickup point is within the town of Jaco, and the service is free for groups of two or more. If you are leaving from a different pickup point or if there is only one person, please contact us to request a quote directly. If you have a car, it is important for you to know that we have free and safe parking, we are only 15 minutes from Jaco in case you want to explore the area, we are on Waze under the name: The park at Ocean Ranch.
