Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley from Cusco Andean Day Trip

he famous Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), located at over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) above sea level. We’ll start very early with pickup from your hotel in Cusco and a scenic 3-hour drive in a tourist vehicle to the Cusipata area, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Andean breakfast. Then, we’ll continue by vehicle to the trailhead. From there, you’ll begin a 1.5 to 2-hour hike (depending on your pace), surrounded by spectacular Andean landscapes, snow-capped mountains, herds of llamas and alpacas, and traditional local communities. At the top, you'll be rewarded with an unforgettable view of the Rainbow Mountain, where you’ll have time to take photos, rest, and admire the natural beauty of this unique place. Optionally, you can also visit the nearby Red Valley, a less-visited but equally stunning destination. Afterward, we’ll descend on foot and return by vehicle to Cusipata, where you’ll enjoy a buffet lunch.
