Join us on a guided winter mountain walking experience and safely discover the frozen landscape with crampons, ice axes and with an experienced guide by your side. Your day begins in the morning when you'll get to know your fully qualified Winter Mountain Guide during a coffee and a discussion about what to expect during the day. They'll answer any questions you have and supply you with everything you'll need to stay safe. After a short drive, we continue our approach to the high mountains on foot. On the way you'll be given instruction on how to use an ice axe and crampons to move safely in the winter environment and your guide will keep you entertained with information about the areas geology, facts and figures and some of the rare wildlife that has evolved to live in the harsh landscape. Our aim for the day will be to explore a glacial valley or summit one of the high mountains in the area, many of these are on tundra-like plateaus, requiring expert navigation to find. Your guide will safely get you there... and home again!
