Once home to a small but fiercely independent Irish-speaking population, the island was abandoned in 1953 but its cultural legacy endures. Breathe in the salt air and truly feel the heartbeat of Ireland’s untamed soul. You will also have every chance of seeing marine wildlife such as dolphins, whales, seals and puffins. Each tour has a guide to provide you with all the information on local landmarks, marine wildlife and the history of the Great Blasket Islands and the surrounding locality.
