During your four-day nomadic experience, you will enjoy a taste of Mongolian life. Your journey will begin as you travel by train across the vast Mongolian steppe from Ulaanbaatar to Shaamar soum, accompanied by your native guide. Once in Shaamar soum, you will take a short car ride to the site of your nomadic homestay, just outside of Zuunburen. For the next two days, you will experience Mongolian life and culture like it has been for hundreds of years through activities such as milking cows, making dairy products, riding horses, and exploring the surrounding scenic countryside, including the natural beauty, Sukhanii Hutul. Each night, you will return to the ger you will share with your local nomadic family and enjoy local cuisine. At the end of your adventure, you will get one more bit of Mongolian life as you once again cross the vast steppe by night train to return to Ulaanbaatar.

We will meet at the train station in Ulaanbaatar to start our journey to Zuunburen. While in second class seats, we will travel across the Mongolian steppe.
If you are an early riser, you can head out to help milk the cows before breakfast. After breakfast, you will learn to make Mongolian dairy products. Then, we will eat lunch before venturing out on horseback to our winter place. After this, you we return to the ger for dinner, milking cows, then free time for the rest of the evening. Some activities available during free time are talking, walking, and playing games.
If you are an early riser, you can head out to help milk the cows before breakfast. After breakfast, you will make more Mongolian dairy products. Once this is done, you will head by horse to the river to eat Mongolian BBQ for lunch.
