Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard densities in the world, and its elephant population ranges between 300 and 350. This makes it the best park in the country to see and photograph leopards and elephants, as well as mammals such as sloth bears, black-naped hares, spotted deer, sambar deer, Hanuman langurs, toque macaques, stripe-necked and ruff monkeys, wild boar, and golden jackals. You may also see reptiles such as the land and water monitor and the marsh crocodile. After a day of wildlife spotting, you will be returned to your accommodation in Colombo or Negombo.
