Travel through the Sacred Valley, passing Inca terraces, local markets, and traditional villages. We’ll cross the Huacacasi Pass (4,450 m / 14,600 ft)—the highest point of the journey—before descending into the scenic Lares Valley (3,250 m / 10,660 ft). Here, relax in the natural hot springs, a perfect way to unwind and acclimate. A buffet lunch is served on-site. After lunch, meet your trekking team: a dedicated cook and llameros (handlers), along with llamas or horses that will carry your gear. Begin a 3-hour uphill hike to Wacawasi, where we’ll set up camp. Later, enjoy a cultural exchange with locals, including a weaving demonstration showcasing ancient Andean textile traditions.
