Let's be honest about "beginner" first. It means no climbing experience, no technical skills. It doesn't mean easy. You're walking at altitude for over a week, and that asks something real of your body.
What makes it manageable is the support, not the trail being gentle. You meet your guide in Lukla, then it's Sherpa villages, swinging bridges over the Dudh Koshi, and a slow climb toward Namche Bazaar as the views open up. Rest days are built in before you go higher — that's what keeps altitude sickness from cutting your trip short.
Higher up, the ground gets rougher and the air thinner. By Base Camp, you'll feel every one of those days behind you. Then Kala Patthar — a 4 AM start, freezing cold, and the sun hits Everest.
It's a private trip: your guide, your pace, nobody else's timeline pulling you along. Teahouses are simple, not fancy.
If you're ready: can you walk several hours a day on uneven ground, and will you train beforehand? The guide and itinerary handle the rest.
Day two: 5-6 hours climbing, crossing suspension bridges into Sagarmatha National Park, up to Namche Bazaar (3,440m). Day three: acclimatize in Namche. A 2-3 hour hike to Everest View Hotel or Khumjung helps your lungs adjust. Day four: ridge walk with Ama Dablam in view, 5-6 hours to Tengboche and its famous monastery. Day five: through Pangboche into open valley country, 5-6 hours to Dingboche (4,410m). Day six: second acclimatization stop. 2-3 hour hike to Nangkartsang, near 5,000m, then back to Dingboche. Day seven: 5-6 hours to Lobuche (4,940m) via Thukla Pass, past memorials for climbers lost on Everest. Day eight: the long day. 7-8 hours to Gorakshep (5,164m) and on to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). Sleep back in Gorakshep. Day nine: pre-dawn climb to Kala Patthar (5,545m), the trek's highest point, timed for sunrise on Everest. Then descend 4-5 hours to Pheriche. Day ten: 6-7 hours back to Namche. Day eleven: 6-7 hours to Lukla for your last night before flying out.
