Most visitors spend around 5 hours in Petra, but you’re free to shorten or extend your visit. Restaurants are available inside and around the main gate of Petra Archaeological Park. After 2 hours, your guide will escort you to the meeting point for the journey back to Amman, or you can choose to explore the site more before making your way back with your driver.
