Getting started
Head directly to Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium within Ocean Expo Park and present your after-5pm admission ticket at the entrance. Once inside, you're free to explore the aquarium at your own pace. If you're driving, complimentary parking is available at the nearby P7 (North Gate) parking lot, while public buses and taxis also provide convenient access to the park.
What to expect
• Begin your visit at the Coral Sea exhibit, where one of the world's largest living coral displays flourishes under natural sunlight, showcasing the rich biodiversity of Okinawa's surrounding reefs.
• Continue to the aquarium's signature Kuroshio Sea tank, home to majestic whale sharks-the world's largest fish and graceful manta rays. This exhibit recreates the powerful Kuroshio Current and offers one of the aquarium's most unforgettable viewing experiences.
• Explore the Deep Sea exhibit, where rare marine species from Okinawa's ocean depths reveal the diversity of life found far below the surface.
• Throughout your visit, discover additional marine habitats featuring colorful tropical fish, sharks, jellyfish, sea turtles, and other aquatic species that highlight the ecosystems surrounding the Okinawan islands.
• Before or after your aquarium visit, take time to explore the surrounding Ocean Expo Park, where landscaped gardens, scenic walking paths, and panoramic coastal views provide the perfect setting to round off your evening.
