Common questions about booking Gaborone experiences through SimilarTours

The 10-day Botswana crossing and 5-day Okavango tours run as scheduled small-group departures, so booking a few weeks ahead is sensible. Check before you go for exact departure dates and group size minimums.
Absolutely. A Madikwe game reserve day tour (note: minimum 5 people per booking) or the scenic boat cruise with game drive gives you real wildlife sighting odds without the multi-day commitment. These work well if you're flying in and out of Johannesburg.
Small-group tours departing from Gaborone handle transport and guiding, so you don't need to rent. For half-day and full-day experiences, confirm logistics when you book - some include pickup.
May to September brings cooler weather and concentrated wildlife around water sources - ideal for safaris. November to March is green and lush but hotter and can be rainy. Check before you go for specific tour operating seasons.
The city draws expats, adventurers, and families regularly. Stick to organized tours for safety and better experience. Most day and multi-day tours work for families - confirm age policies and activity levels when booking.

Botswana
Gaborone sits at the crossroads of southern Africa's best wildlife and cultural experiences. Most visitors treat the capital as a launching point - whether that's a 10-day journey across Botswana to Victoria Falls, a quick 5-day Okavango Delta and rhino safari, or a night in Madikwe Game Reserve just across the border. But the city itself rewards a day or two: art and craft tours, village visits to Manyana, scenic boat cruises, and game drives that remind you why Botswana is serious about conservation. It's a place where you can eat well, meet expats and adventurers, and hop on a small-group tour that actually runs.
