This is a self drive activity, meaning you would need to handle your own transportation to and from our location. Dinner reservations start at 8:00pm for this activity, and included in your booking is a 3-course meal at Latitude 65. Alcohol is not included, but is available for purchase, as are additional add ons and appetizers. After dinner, you can relax in our lounge space and utilize our free wi-fi while you wait for the Aurora Borealis to make an appearance. At 10pm our staff hold a nightly presentation discussing the science and folklore behind the northern lights, which is a free presentation. When the aurora makes an appearance, our staff will inform you where to look! We also offer additional photography sessions at $60 per person. The yurt closes at 2:00am, which is when you would need to depart the property.

The half day guided fishing trip will start with one of our guides picking you up from a hotel, or one of our other park and pick up locations, then the adventure begins. Depending on time of year and water conditions, our wade fishing trips typically take place in of one of Alaskas beautiful and abundant state parks. For our guided fishing trips around the Fairbanks area, all gear and flies/lures are included in the price, as well as personalized help from our local and knowledgeable fishing guides. These trips are open to anglers of all skill levels, and abilities. We offer both fly fishing and spin casting options and will help teach you the techniques to be successful. A half day trip is usually 4-5 hours. Half days do not include lunch but do include a small snack/waters, flies/lures, rods/reels and wading gear. He was a full time wedding photographer for 10 years before becoming an aurora portrait photographer, which he's done for over 7 years. Other tours offer “free portraits” but not to the level of expertise that Nathan provides. He uses controlled supplemental studio lighting to achieve unmatched quality and sharpness, using techniques he developed over 7 years of practicing aurora portraiture. This is a visit to Chena Hot Springs for a day visit plus an Aurora Chase on the way back to Fairbanks. Getting to the Springs Resort and the aurora chase is via a Vehicle that holds up to 6 people, is low to the ground, and is easy to enter and exit. This tour can NOT accommodate wheelchairs unless special arrangements are made. Please advise us with any mobility issues, the ground can be icy. After your soak, we’ll travel to prime Aurora viewing locations to give you the best chance to witness the Northern Lights. While the aurora cannot be guaranteed, your guide will closely monitor conditions and share local knowledge and stories throughout the night. Pick-up is between 4:30–5:30 PM depending on weather. Return is as late as 2:00 AM, with flexibility to stay out later if the Northern Lights are especially strong.

All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the scenic landscape on your 3-hour journey. We will stop for restrooms along the way. Hotel Pick-up may be 10-20 minutes before departing Fairbanks. We'll be contacting each traveler the day before to confirm pick-up, drop-off locations and timing. You'll also be provided with the van name and driver details. We depart Fairbanks by 8:30am, after hotel pick-ups. We should be arriving in Denali National Park by 11:30am. Flexible departure times may be possible. Chena Hot Springs Resort operates a big indoor pool and handsome outdoor wading lake, all of it constantly replenished by pungent mineral spring water that rises from the earth at about 165 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a small, private tour to the Arctic Circle. Passengers will be riding in a comfy 2025 Toyota Sequoia and brand new winter tires. Scheduling on the website is a bit tricky and doesn't allow for next day returns, just keep in mind the trip will take 10-12 hours depending on weather and how much time you'd like to spend at each location.
