This is not a standard tourist tour — it’s a private Arctic experience guided by someone who was born and raised in Kiruna. My lifelong connection to the area allows me to take you beyond marked trails and crowded areas, into quiet forests and open landscapes that many visitors never see.
Unlike larger group excursions, this experience is exclusively for your group. That means no strangers, no fixed scripts, and no rushed schedules. The route, pace, and distance are fully adapted to you, the weather, and the snow conditions on that particular day.
The combination of snowshoeing with a traditional wood-fired sauna ritual makes this experience truly unique. After moving through the cold Arctic air, you’ll warm up in a private sauna and take part in a guided Nordic ritual — a cultural tradition that connects nature, body, and mind.
This is a slow, authentic alternative to mass tourism — focused on silence, nature, personal connection, and genuine local knowledge.
After a short introduction to snowshoes, we head into the Arctic wilderness. The route is adapted to the weather and your group’s fitness level, ensuring a comfortable pace. As we move through quiet forests and snowy landscapes, you'll experience the stillness of Arctic nature and, with some luck, spot the Northern Lights. We make our way to a scenic viewpoint on a small fell, where we take a short break to enjoy the views and warm up with hot berry juice made from local berries. After taking in the surroundings, we continue back through the snowy forest and following quiet trails. Back at the homestead, a wood-fired sauna awaits. Before your sauna session, your guide will introduce the traditional Nordic sauna ritual and explain each step for you to follow at your own pace. Guests enjoy the sauna privately, without the guide present. After the sauna, relax in the lounge with refreshments inspired by the flavors and traditions of Swedish Lapland. All sauna essentials and basic toiletries are included. This experience offers an authentic and peaceful alternative to mass tourism and crowded tours.
