As part of this class, you will learn how locals in southern Albania prepare a traditional type of burek in a family home in Corovoda, Skrapar. You will be guided step by step (by two local women) through the cooking process and experience local hospitality in a simple, authentic setting.
After cooking, you will all have lunch together, not only to taste what you prepared but also to share stories, connect with each other, and meet people from different parts of the world in a family-owned home in Corovoda.
You will learn how to prepare local dishes such as burek. The experience starts with a short introduction to the house, its history, and local traditions. You will actively participate in preparing the dough and cooking process, guided step by step by two local ladies. After cooking, we will share the meal together in a relaxed, family-style setting, accompanied by stories about the region, culture, and daily life in Skrapar. This experience is designed to be personal, authentic, and interactive, offering a real connection to local food and heritage.
