Roots has been running tours from Cambridge since 2006. This is a personal, informal and informative tour designed for visitors to Britain. Tours are for small groups only with a maximum of 16 passengers per tour. Your tour guide will join you to explore two of the highlight destinations of England. Be enchanted by the beauty and tranquility of the countryside and quaint villages of The Cotswolds and the fascinating history of William Shakespeare's hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.
Stratford-upon-Avon, United Kingdom
Join your guide to explore the picturesque town with its wood-framed houses and to visit the church where William Shakespeare was baptised and is buried. After the walking tour there will be free time to enter Shakespeare's birthplace (entry fee not included in the tour price), other houses related to the Shakespeare family, and the Royal Shakespeare Company Theatre.
We visit numerous other villages before ending in the quaint village of Bibury. There will be stops en route to explore the villages, to admire the scenery from viewpoints, to walk between villages, and to stop for refreshments.
We depart from directly outside the entrance to Parkside Swimming Pool and the Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre on Gonville Place - please meet under the entrance canopy overlooking Parker's Piece park.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
