This UNESCO-listed red-sandstone fortress was built by Emperor Akbar in the 1560s and later embellished by Jahangir and Shah Jahan. Your guide shows you its palaces, audience halls and the Musamman Burj, where Shah Jahan spent his final years imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb, gazing at the Taj Mahal across the river.
