Getting started

Your morning begins with pickup from your hotel, Nile cruise ship, or accommodation in Luxor between 5am and 5:30am. After a short drive in an air-conditioned vehicle, you’ll arrive at the launch site, where your admission fee is covered and staff will coordinate your check-in. Once at the site, you’ll meet your pilot and receive a quick briefing before boarding the balloon.

Experience a sunrise flight that takes you above Luxor’s West Bank, offering panoramic views of some of Egypt’s most significant archaeological sites.

• As you ascend to heights of up to 1,500 feet, you’ll see the Valley of the Kings, burial place of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun and Ramses II, with its tombs carved deep into the cliffs.

• Glide past the Temple of Hatshepsut, a mortuary temple built for Egypt’s renowned female pharaoh, with its terraces rising from the desert landscape.

• Spot the Colossi of Memnon, two monumental stone statues that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.
