Named after St. Lucia’s proud national symbol, the Jacquot parrot (Amazona versicolor), this guided rainforest hike invites you to explore the island’s most precious treasure — its untouched nature. Led by an expert Nature Interpreter, the trail takes you across gentle ravines and clear forest creeks, deep into the heart of a mature Caribbean Oceanic rainforest. Experience the tranquil energy of nature as you walk beneath towering chatannier trees with massive buttress roots and breathe in the aroma of the gommier. Listen for the distant call of the Jacquot parrot, admire giant ferns and delicate epiphytes, and feel completely immersed in the lush beauty of St. Lucia’s rainforest. Located within the Castries Waterworks Reserve at La Sorcière Mountain, just 30 minutes from Castries, this eco-adventure reveals the island’s true heart and soul.
