Uppingham is the other town in Rutland and is replete with galleries and upmarket eateries.

At 690 feet (210 metres) above sea level, this old Iron Age fort offers fantastic views over the surrounding counties.

This is a private tour so we can pretty much go where you like but a good place is Bede House, part of an old palace that is well maintained by English Heritage.
